    • Is the Powell Put in Play? Ep. 330
St. Valentine’s Day Rout I wouldn’t really call what happened in the bond market and the U.S. dollar market as a St. Valentine’s Day massacre, maybe it was a slaughter; even slaughter was too harsh a word.  It was a rout.  But this is nothing compared to what is going to come. The daughter is […] The post Is the Powell Put in Play? Ep. 330 appeared first on […]
    • Republican Hypocrites Embrace Debt to Avert Shutdown – Ep. 329
A Change of Trend Another volatile day of trading ended with the Dow gaining a little over 300 points – 330 points to be exact.  The NASDAQ composite was up just shy of 100 points – 97.33 – and the S&P gained 38.5 points.  But about 2 hours before the close, the Dow was down […] The post Republican Hypocrites Embrace Debt to Avert Shutdown – Ep. 329 appe […]
    • Deficits Don’t Matter – Until They Do – Ep. 328
Orlando Money Show: 20 Trillion and Beyond I wasn’t intending to do a podcast today;  I’m in Orlando at the Money Show, I’m on a stock market panel.  It’s going to be fun: Louis Navellier, Mark Skousen, David Callaway  and Chris Gaffney.  My big talk tomorrow should be very interesting. The title is 20 Trillion and Beyond: What […] The post Deficits Don’t Ma […]
    • Stocks and Bonds Do Dangerous Dance – Ep. 327
Volatility The volatility is really continuing, in fact, today at one point this morning the Dow was up close to 400 points; ended up closing negative.  It wasn’t a big drop; about 20 points, but I think that’s the biggest reversal of a gain to a loss in a little over 2 years. The broader market […] The post Stocks and Bonds Do Dangerous Dance – Ep. 327 appe […]
    • Raising Rates Reflect Bigger Debt Not Faster Growth
By: Peter Schiff, President and CEO Euro Pacific Capital While investors are justifiably focused on what may be the opening crescendo of a long overdue sell-off in stocks, there is not, as of yet, as feverish a discussion of the parallel sell-offs in bonds and the U.S. dollar, which have been underway for at least a […] The post Raising Rates Reflect Bigger […]

Tabling for Ron Paul downtown Santa Barbara

I can’t talk for other Ron Paul Meetup groups, but our Santa Barbara one has been quite active lately and we’ve already begun taking the message of liberty to the streets!  This time around more people know who Ron Paul is and he has a much better chance at winning the GOP nomination.  With the insurgency of the Tea Parties, Paul’s ideas are now becoming mainstream and he can no longer be ignored by the media.  Our goal for the tabling events has been to get the word out to as many people as possible that Ron Paul is running again for president and to find supporters to join our Meetup group and to fight with us for liberty.  In addition to tabling, we have been phone banking in Iowa to get people to attend the Ames Straw Poll in August, which is a crucial event in Ron Paul’s campaign.

Here's our table setup downtown. You can see the signs at all angles. Two of the Meetup members are engaging with the public.

Ron Paul's freedom fighters!
