    • Weak Data Sinks Dollar But Floats Stocks Ep. 268
Summary: More weak economic data today sent the U.S. stock market to record highs; at least the Dow and the S&P hit new records. NASDAQ not quite, but very close.  The dollar hit a new low for the year.  The dollar index, settling in at 95.10, right on the low for the day.  That’s down […] The post Weak Data Sinks Dollar But Floats Stocks Ep. 268 appeare […]

    • What It Means To Be An American – Ep. 265
Summary: One of the key differences between Americans and citizens of other countries is that in most nations of the world, individuals gradually won freedoms and privileges from a monarchy. Obama & The Nationwide Chicago Tea Party

Obama to cut the deficit in half?

Recently in the news Obama claimed that he’s going to cut the deficit in half by the time he leaves office.  How is he going to do that?  By bringing home the troops from Iraq, saving us billions of dollars.  I applaud this effort, but I would take it even farther by bringing our troops home from EVERYWHERE.  Yep, this means shutting down our military bases in the 140 countries we are currently occupying around the world (sorry Malaysia, Germany, Sri Lanka, ect.).  Instead of seeing savings in the billions of dollars range, we’d be saving over a trillion dollars from our deficit.  Anyways, someone noted that it’s not too impressive for Obama to claim he’s going to cut the deficit in half at the end of his term in office after he’s planning on quadrupling it at the very beginning.  Just another sly political trick to appease the masses if you ask me (and people really are sucking it up, except for those planning on going to the following event …. )

The Nationwide Chicago Tea Party protest!

After an impassioned broadcast on the Chicago trading floor that completely bashed the recent bail outs, MSNBC’s Rick Santelli started a nationwide movement in less than a week.  After calling for a “Chicago Tea Party,” thousands of grassroots supporters took the idea and made it a reality.  Now there are dozens of Tea Party groups starting all over the country, all spontaenously inspired by Rick Santelli’s rant (you can find the video of the broadcast here:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zp-Jw-5Kx8k)

A website to unify the independent Tea Party groups has been started at http://www.tcotreport.com/.  When you visit the site, you can see a list of Tea Party groups from around the country, speaking points for the protest, and even sign slogans (ie. “Pay for Your OWN Mortgage”).  A Nationwide Chicago Tea Party is planned for tomorrow (Friday, 2/27) at 12 EST, 9 AM PST at each of these locations.  For those in southern California, a Tea Party protest will be held at the Santa Monica pier and Break the Matrix’s own Rick Williams will be speaking there (http://www.breakthematrix.com/node/33743).

Those of you who are sick and tried of the bail outs, big government spending increases, policies that reward failure and punish responsbility, or politicians who are willing to strap future generations full of debt in order to make up for our mistakes, I strongly encourage you to speak out and join the revolution!
